By simply taking the time to clip and use coupons, Tanya Senseney can save over $15,000 a year shopping for her family.

During one recent shopping trip, she purchased $457 worth of groceries and paid only $45.

Tanya began using coupons 14 years ago out of necessity. Not long after her first child was born, her home was demolished by a tornado, while at the same time her husband (who had suffered an injury) was out of work. During this time, Tanya realized the power of coupons.

“I learned that coupons were like another form of currency,” she says. “Throwing coupons away is like throwing money away.”

Her ability to shop like a queen while living on a shoestring budget has helped her garner national attention. Through her company, Divine Deal Diva, she has traveled throughout the country teaching others how they too can save thousands of dollars by using coupons. She also appears on Fox 35 Orlando, Heartbeat Radio for Women and is a nationally syndicated columnist.

Her motivational and practical advice has benefited many individuals and families, especially those receiving financial assistance and/or food stamps, or living on a fixed income. Look for Tanya here as she provides valuable tips that will enable you, our readers, to save some of your hard-earned cash.

We are excited to add Tanya to our ever-growing and talented team of contributing writers. We feel her couponing expertise will help many of you navigate this muddled economy. After all, enjoying financial freedom is an integral part of healthy living.

We hope Tanya’s guidance makes those shopping trips less straining on your pocketbook. Just a little food for thought.
